In all honesty, if I were a parent looking for a tutor for a child who’s behind in reading, I’d be stressed. Tutoring is expensive! Yes, I said it. There’s no way around it. You could get a cheap tutor, but if your child is below grade level in reading, I would not recommend that.

My name is Janet Beatrice and I help kids in grades 1 to 3 who are struggling to learn to read. I’ve been working with children from ages 6 months to 15 years in various capacities for over 20 years. It wasn’t until I started working as an online reading tutor for children who were struggling to learn to read that I found my true calling.

Since then, I’ve learned all I could about the best methods for teaching kids to read, especially those who are struggling to learn.

I use a method called Reading Simplified^®, which embraces the principles from the Science of Reading, but, as the name suggests, simplifies the process. This makes it an ideal method for kids who are overwhelmed by methods such as Orton-Gillingham.
